Key Responsibilities For The FirstRand Assistant Artisan 

As an Assistant Artisan Plumber, you will:

• Assist plumbers with installations, inspections, and repairs of plumbing systems

• Support diagnosing faults, leaks, and testing water distribution and waste disposal systems

• Prepare tools, materials, and supplies for work on-site

• Handle storage, lifting, fetching supplies, unloading, and checking deliveries

• Assist with identifying hazards, defects, and repairs needed to ensure compliance with safety and building codes

• Maintain accurate records, worksheets, and documentation

• Report problems that may affect health, safety, or operations to your line manager

• Uphold company policies including health, safety, hygiene, teamwork, and flexibility

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric (or equivalent)

• A handyman course will be an added advantage

• Basic knowledge of plumbing tools and safety procedures

• Willingness to learn and work under supervision
