Minimum Requirements:
5+ years of experience as an Electrician
Strong knowledge in Electrical Drawings design and reading for fault diagnosis
Refrigeration and Cooling Systems knowledge (experience or qualification preferred)
Production-oriented Artisan skills in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Generators and maintenance
Familiarity with management principles and job card systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Valid driver’s license and own transport
Grade 12 and Red Seal Electrical Qualification
Experience in an Electrician role within a Poultry Hatchery environment is a plus
Key Duties & Responsibilities For The CBH Electrician Job Opportunity
Repair machinery in the Hatchery promptly to prevent production downtime
Replace electrical equipment, wiring, and fixtures as needed
Regularly monitor setters, hatchers, and ventilation systems (heaters, coolers, room conditions) to ensure proper function
Perform preventative maintenance and servicing on Hatchery equipment
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in setters and incubators
Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and components
Use test equipment and tools to diagnose electrical issues
Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, identifying hazards and ensuring safety compliance
Run tests and inspections on electrical circuits and wiring systems
Maintain and track maintenance spares inventory to ensure adequate stock
Adhere to bio-security, Health and Safety regulations in all tasks
Availability for flexible working hours, including weekends and standby shifts
