As an Artisan Assistant, your duties will include:

Assisting artisans with daily maintenance and inspections.

Performing basic use of hand tools.

Applying health, safety, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Participating in workplace incident investigations.
-
Reporting unsafe behaviour, conditions, and incidents to the responsible person.

Conducting pre-use inspections, routine inspections, and reporting defects.
-
Carrying out risk assessments before tasks to identify hazards.
-
Keeping all equipment clean, maintained, and in good working condition.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
-
Grade 12 with Mathematics.

N2 Technical Certificate.
-
Valid driver’s license.
-
At least 2 years’ experience in a maintenance environment.
-
Knowledge of surface mining principles (advantageous).
-
Experience in mobile machine maintenance, fitting, boilermaking, or electrical (advantageous).
