Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this apprenticeship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Successfully completed schooling at a technical high school, with passes in Mathematics and Technical Drawing.
A genuine interest in engineering, machining, and mechanical trades.
Not older than 25 years.
Reside in the Northern Suburbs, Cape Town.
Must be available to start practical work experience by 1 November 2025 prior to beginning studies in January 2026.
Willing and committed to completing the full 3-year apprenticeship, which includes both college-based theoretical training and on-the-job practical experience.

We are looking for someone who:

Is hardworking, reliable, and eager to learn.
Enjoys problem-solving and working with their hands.
Can work effectively in a team environment while taking ownership of their personal growth.
Previous work experience in an engineering or technical environment will be beneficial but is not a requirement.

As a Fitter & Turner Apprentice, you will receive:

Assistance and support during the registration process with Northlink College and NSFAS (bursary applications).
A 3-Year Apprenticeship Employment Contract.
A basic monthly stipend while completing training and practical work.
A structured learning and development programme, combining classroom studies and real-world practice.
Mentorship and guidance from experienced artisans and professionals.
The opportunity to gain a recognized trade qualification upon successful completion of the programme.
