About the Role
Mr Price Logistics is seeking a qualified and experienced Artisan Assistant to join the team at the Group’s Distribution Centre in Hammersdale. The successful candidate will support artisans in maintaining and repairing operational equipment, ensuring maximum efficiency, reduced downtime, and extended equipment life span.
Minimum Qualifications For The Mr Price Group Artisan Assistant

Grade 12 / NQF4 or equivalent qualification

N3 or N4 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

3–5 years’ experience in a production or maintenance environment

Basic trade knowledge in electrical or mechanical engineering

Understanding of Distribution Centre (DC) operations and retail industry processes
Key Responsibilities

Assist with mechanical installations and repairs to improve operational efficiency

Support artisans with fault-finding and breakdowns

Inspect buildings and facilities regularly to identify issues (e.g., water leaks, fencing, welding needs, and general maintenance)

Replace worn or damaged motor parts/components

Check and maintain oil levels, electronic components, and braking devices

Test and replace defective safety and warning devices

Monitor and track conveyors within the Distribution Centre to ensure smooth workflow
