Job Description
- Install and Maintain all plant electrical Equipment and Systems.
- Issue Certificates of Compliance on all new and altered electrical installations.
- Maintain Maintenance Connection works orders and Preventive Maintenance Schedules.
- Create site reports and update Maintenance Connection of any Equipment change on site. (New equipment, altered settings, etc.).
- Appliances Inspections and Repairs as per Schedules on CMMS.
- Fault finding on plant equipment on site and reported breakdowns.
- Maintain workshop Tools and Equipment.
- Ensure that all SHEQ standards as set out in legislation and voluntary systems are maintained.
- Responsible for the supervision of service providers and contractors carrying out work on site.
- Mentor Apprentice Electricians.
- Perform standby duties.
- Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Electrician Apprenticeship – Trade tested.
- N3 academic qualification desirable.
- Must have Wireman’s License.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a qualified artisan with at least 2 years in a chemical / petrochemical environment.
- Computer literacy.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
