Job Summary

Randwater is seeking a motivated Maintenance & Fabrication Assistant to support the day-to-day maintenance and fabrication of plant and pipeline equipment, both at the Central Depot and on-site. This role provides hands-on experience working alongside skilled artisans in a professional water utility environment.

Key Responsibilities For Rand Water Artisan Aide Welding

• Assist Artisans with maintenance, fabrication, and repair of pipeline components.

• Conduct general maintenance, including loading and unloading equipment, tools, and materials.

• Maintain cleanliness of tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

• Prepare welding materials and assist in fabrication tasks as required.

• Follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (NSC) or N3 in relevant technical field.

• Experience: At least 1 year in a similar maintenance/fabrication environment.

• Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of tools and workshop practices.

  • Welding skills.

  • Strong communication and writing skills.

• Attributes:
