Purpose of the Job

The Quality Inspector manages in his/her scope of work, the actions to ensure the conformity of the product and to help the continuous improvement on quality processes. Ensure the conformity of the product and act quickly to solve quality issues.

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • In process Inspection during manufacturing of a trains.
  • Preparation of reports for Inspections performed.
  • Coordination and management of Repair or Modification projects at various car repair locations.
  • Auditing and approval of repair.
  • Working with engineering drawings for car modifications and New Car builds.
  • Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.
  • Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards
  • Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and discard any that doesn’t meet requirements
  • Prepare and submit reports to the quality manager
  • Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.)
  • Alert operators using the quality visions on the defect that were detected during inspection
    Respect EHS rules and any work-related processes.

Minimum Requirements:

• N6 or National Diploma in Quality or Engineering

  • Technical knowledge with 3 years’ experience preferably in the railway industry, in quality, ideally in an international organization.
  • Quality assurance, quality management, Product inspection, manufacturing management, or a related field
