About the Role
SABN is seeking motivated individuals to join its structured artisan apprenticeship programme. In this high-value role you will be responsible for learning and performing maintenance tasks on cutting-edge security printing and manufacturing equipment. You will receive hands-on training in a fast-paced production environment, developing your skills toward becoming a qualified artisan.

Participate in preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment used in security printing operations.

Assist senior artisans in fault-finding, repair, installation and routine inspection of manufacturing systems and machinery.

Follow the highest safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) standards while working with state-of-the-art technology in a secure manufacturing facility.

Maintain records of maintenance tasks, collaborate with production teams, and contribute to continuous improvement of equipment performance and reliability.

Engage in formal training modules and on-the-job learning that build toward trade-certified artisan status.
Minimum Qualifications

Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification with strong grades, especially in Mathematics and Physical Science.

Relevant N2-N3 qualification or Engineering trade theory in Electrical, Mechanical, Millwright or similar disciplines.

Must be a South African citizen (required for security clearance).

Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to a multi-year apprenticeship path.
