Job Purpose
To maintain the overall effectiveness of equipment and plant operations on-site, including electrical support.
The successful candidate will ensure optimal machine reliability, proactively address maintenance issues, and uphold high standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities For The Premier Artisan Electrician- Apply now

Anticipate and resolve potential machine reliability problems to ensure uninterrupted production.

Lead and participate in problem-solving initiatives; provide insights and recommendations to the Maintenance Team Leader for continuous improvement.

Record and analyse breakdown trends per machine using maintenance systems to motivate equipment upgrades or replacements.

Support ad hoc projects such as machine renovations, refurbishments, a nd commissioning to optimise process flow.

Ensure compliance with all Food Safety, Health & Safety, and GMP requirements, maintaining documentation and process controls according to SOPs.

Provide on-the-job coaching and mentorship for Handymen and Apprentices, aligned with Premier’s Leadership Promise.

Supervise, train, and guide Technical Operators on SOPs and work instructions to ensure best operational practices.
Qualification Requirements

Matric (Grade 12).

N4 Qualification in a relevant field.

Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal).
Experience Requirements
-
3–5 years’ experience in a relevant trade.
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment.

Proven experience working with high-speed, continuous operations.
