We are seeking a qualified Electrician to provide electrical services, maintenance, repairs, and system replacements for all electrical infrastructure and equipment within the locality. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance, safety, and efficiency across all electrical operations.
Key Responsibilities for Mediclinic Electrician Job Opportunity
1. Technical Electrical Services
Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on-site
Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting for electrical issues
Ensure all work aligns with electrical regulations and safety standards
Maintain and service transformers, circuit breakers, autoclaves, and heating/air conditioning systems
Work with alarm panels, IT networks, and communication systems
2. Administrative & Compliance Duties
Maintain accurate documentation for all electrical work performed
Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
Utilize test equipment and diagnostic tools to verify electrical system integrity
3. Risk Mitigation & Contractor Coordination
Identify and mitigate electrical risks within the locality
Supervise and coordinate work performed by on-site contractors
Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with electrical regulations
4. Client & Stakeholder Relations
Maintain strong relationships with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders
Provide technical guidance and support to relevant personnel
Assist in project planning and execution to ensure seamless electrical operations
Minimum Requirements
Education & Certification:
NQF Level 4 Electrical Qualification with Mathematics, Science, Industrial Electronics, or Electro-Technology
Trade Test Certification: Electrical (3-Phase)
Wireman’s License (Installation Electrician 3-Phase) or equivalent Namibian registration (if applicable)
Code B Driver’s License with own reliable transport
Experience:
Essential: No prior experience required
Preferred: 2+ years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Electrical regulations & compliance standards
Fault-finding & troubleshooting electrical systems
Maintenance & repair of transformers, circuit breakers, autoclaves, and HVAC systems
Alarm panels, IT networks, and communication systems
Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) compliance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office & electrical test equipment
