Tracker Connect is offering a limited Installation Technician Internship for 2026, aimed at developing and empowering unemployed youth with practical, in-demand skills.
Only 10 candidates will be selected for this programme, making it a highly competitive opportunity. The internship is based at Tracker’s Head Office in Johannesburg and is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and hands-on experience required to install electronic tracking equipment in vehicles, trucks, and heavy machinery.
This is more than just an internship — it is a structured pathway into a technical career within a growing industry.
The Tracker Installation Technician Internship is a 12-month programme that combines both theoretical learning and practical workplace experience. The programme follows a structured and supervised training approach to ensure that learners develop the skills required to perform installations professionally and safely.
Participants will gain exposure to real-world working environments while learning how to install and maintain electronic tracking systems across different types of vehicles. This includes passenger vehicles, commercial trucks, and plant machinery.

The programme will teach candidates how to follow structured installation schedules, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Customer service is also an important part of the role. Participants will learn how to interact with clients professionally and provide service that meets company expectations.
In addition, learners will be responsible for handling company-issued tools and equipment, ensuring that all assets are used correctly and maintained properly.
