Position Purpose Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) is offering a two-year Graduate Development Programme for unemployed South African graduates aged 18-35. This structured programme provides institutional knowledge and on-the-job training, equipping participants with valuable work experience to improve their employability prospects.
Participants will be mentored and assessed every six months to ensure progress and alignment with both TFR’s expectations and the candidate’s career goals. This initiative supports graduates from Department of Higher Education & Training-registered institutions, including Universities, Universities of Technology, and TVET Colleges, who hold a National Diploma, Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or BTech qualification (minimum NQF Level 6 or above). No prior work experience is required.
Position Outputs
Participation in a two-year structured Graduate Development Programme
Placement in various functional areas within TFR Depots and Departments
Hands-on experience with mentorship and career growth opportunities

Education: National Diploma in Safety Management
Work Experience: No prior experience required, but candidates will undergo a rigorous recruitment process
Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen
