Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

National Diploma in Engineering (Electrical)

3 – 5 years of relevant experience in electrical systems

1 year of experience in project management

Valid Code B driver’s license

Strong understanding of construction, operation, and maintenance of municipal electrical distribution systems

Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite

Assist with project planning, implementation, monitoring, and commissioning for Electrical and Mechanical projects

Oversee administrative and supervisory tasks within the department

Ensure procurement of goods and services aligns with Council’s Supply Chain Management policies

Conduct technical studies to develop innovative solutions and improve processes

Maintain and contribute to the integrity of municipal electrical assets

Planning and organizational awareness

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Strong understanding of municipal infrastructure and engineering principles
