Roles and Responsibilities for Sappi Student Artisan Training
As a Student Training Artisan, you will:
Complete all prescribed training, coursework, and program administration.
Safely operate hand tools and power tools as required.
Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs under supervision.
Execute assigned tasks within specified timeframes and to high standards.
Follow company policies, safety regulations, and SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) requirements.
Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition and ready for inspections.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment through housekeeping duties.

Our artisan training program covers a range of specializations, including:
Fitter and Turner
Millwright
Electrical
Instrument Mechanician
Rigging
Fabrication
Who Can Apply?
To qualify for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
Educational Requirements: Completed Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science OR an N3 qualification in Engineering Studies.
Age Requirement: Must be 35 years or younger.
Residency: You must reside within 50km of Ngodwana.
Additional Advantage: A valid driver’s license would be beneficial, though not required.
Experience: No prior work experience is necessary—this is a training opportunity to help you start your career!
