Job Description:

As an Electrician, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance of all electrical equipment. This role requires a high level of expertise, particularly in high-voltage (HV) systems and maintenance procedures.
Key Responsibilities for the Air Products Artisan Electrician

Maximize Artisan Utilization:
Review and assign maintenance tasks to ensure optimal productivity and efficient use of resources. -
Participate in Planning Activities:
Collaborate with the team to ensure that manpower, materials, and methods are effectively planned to minimize production disruptions. -
Develop and Document Procedures:
Create and document detailed maintenance procedures for all electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards. -
Lead Continuous Improvement:
Drive reliability improvements by developing and implementing effective strategies for equipment maintenance and performance optimization. -
Technical Support:
Provide expert technical support to the On-site project department, ensuring smooth operations. -
Plan and Control Plant Shutdowns:
Evaluate long-term maintenance needs, organize resources (including consumables and spares), and ensure effective management of plant shutdowns.
Essential Requirements:
To be considered for the Electrician role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualifications:
N3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. -
Trade Certification:
Electrician Red Seal Trade Tested. -
Licensing:
Valid Wireman’s Licence is required. -
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical HV maintenance, preferably in the gas industry or a related field, including experience with HV synchronous motors and excitation systems. -
Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of protection relays, predictive maintenance practices, and electrical engineering standards. -
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, management, and external stakeholders. -
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, for documentation and reporting. -
Driver’s License:
Valid unendorsed driver’s license and own vehicle required for travel to various work sites.
