Key Responsibilities

Ensure a safe and risk-free working environment at all times, following company health and safety regulations.

Perform maintenance and repair tasks on production machinery, ensuring proper safety procedures.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical faults to minimize machine downtime.

Conduct planned maintenance to ensure compliance with the South African Bureau of Standards Act, 1945.
-
Optimize and improve plant processes, equipment, and systems.
-
Complete maintenance activities in line with AB InBev standard work instructions.
-
Participate in standby duties as per roster, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
Skills & Competencies
-
Strong problem-solving skills with FMCG manufacturing machinery.
-
Ability to train, coach, and mentor staff on technical procedures, ATO, and 5S principles.
-
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
-
Capable of working independently and under pressure.
-
Skilled in using root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone).
-
Analytical ability to interpret performance data and recommend improvements.
-
Proficient in SAP for spare parts requests and work order management.
-
Comfortable using electronic communication devices such as tablets and laptops.
Minimum Requirements

N3 Technical qualification or higher.
-
Trade Test qualification: Mechanical Fitter / Electrical / Instrumentation.

Minimum of 2 years’ post-trade test experience (experience in packaging or FMCG is advantageous).

Summative assessment in current role would be beneficial.

Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel).

Must be proficient in electronic communication devices.
