Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 with Mathematics and Technical subjects OR
Completed N3 certificate OR NCV Level 3 with trade-relevant engineering subjects -
No prior experience required — exposure to a technical environment or hands-on mechanical projects is advantageous

How the Programme Works
This Fitter Apprenticeship Programme combines both theoretical and on-the-job training to help you develop the skills needed for success in the engineering industry.

Phase 1: 6 months of Trade Theory Training provided by an accredited training service provider selected by Astec Industries

Phase 2: 80 weeks of on-the-job practical training, guided by experienced mentors and technical experts

Final Step: An internal assessment to evaluate readiness before applying for your official Trade Test Date
