Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12) essential.

N3 qualification (advantageous but not essential).

Minimum 12 months’ experience in a similar maintenance or workshop environment.

Basic knowledge of minor electrical repairs.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
-
Assist the Artisan and Workshop Assistant with maintenance and repair tasks.
-
Carry tools, materials, and equipment to and from work areas as required.
-
Clean machines and work areas upon completion of tasks.
-
Maintain good housekeeping and ensure all tools are properly stored.
-
Adhere to safe work procedures and company safety policies.
-
Conduct routine plant inspections and report unsafe conditions or equipment defects to the Supervisor or Artisan.

Collect and deliver spare parts or tools from the store when required.
Knowledge

Basic understanding of safety principles in a workshop or plant environment.

Familiarity with tools and their uses.

Knowledge of safe working procedures and maintenance practices.
