Completed or currently completing a 3-year National Diploma or a Bachelor of Engineering Technology Degree in one of the following fields:

Programme Structure – What Happens in 24 Months?
The Engineering Learnership is logbook-based and structured around mentorship and coaching.
Phase 1: Theoretical Training (First 8 Months)

Introductory training at the ATNS Aviation Training Academy

Classroom-based technical modules

Exposure to aviation systems, safety standards, and engineering fundamentals
Phase 2: Practical Workplace Exposure (Next 16 Months)

Deployment to ATNS operational centres across South Africa

Hands-on technical training in aviation infrastructure, navigation systems, and electronic engineering

Ongoing assessments, mentorship, and on-the-job coaching
Outcome: At the end of the 24-month programme, ATNS may offer permanent placement depending on vacancies, individual performance, and competency achieved during the learnership.
