Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair electrical components of machinery, equipment, and electrical reticulation systems (Medium and Low Voltage).

Conduct safety meetings, participate in risk assessments, and comply with safety standards.

Respond to breakdowns and emergencies promptly.
-
Escalate defects and abnormalities to management and recommend corrective action.
-
Provide coaching, support, and training to subordinates, apprentices, and learners.

Oversee Engineering Learners and Artisans, ensuring effective teamwork.

Promote two-way communication with supervisors and team members.
-
Report incidents, injuries, and at-risk behaviour.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Grade 12 / N3 Engineering Certificate
-
Electrical Trade Specific N2 Certificate
-
Section 13 or Section 26D Electrician Trade Certificate
-
Medium Voltage Certificate (advantageous)
-
Valid Code 8 Driver’s Licence
Experience
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified Electrician
-
Previous plant experience will be advantageous
