We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician / Electrical Maintenance Technician to manage, troubleshoot, and maintain all aspects of electrical distribution systems within our facilities. This includes routine inspections, preventive maintenance, installation, emergency repairs, and contractor oversight, ensuring safe and efficient electrical operations in compliance with industry and safety regulations.
Areas of Responsibility & Key Activities:

Perform preventive maintenance and repair of electrical distribution systems, including generators, UPS systems, lighting, and programmable controls.

Inspect electrical systems to assess conditions, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive actions to minimize downtime.

Install and troubleshoot new systems and electrical components, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

Support the drawing and planning of new or upgraded electrical layouts for optimized installations.

Diagnose and resolve faults or failures, ensuring safe and timely restoration of services.

Liaise with and oversee subcontractors, ensuring project standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.

Respond effectively to emergency breakdowns and after-hours service calls.

Calculate and compare costs for services and goods to ensure cost-effective procurement.

Perform administrative duties, including reporting, maintenance logging, and documentation updates.

Follow up on incomplete or deficient contractor work, ensuring issues are resolved.

Maintain compliance with health, safety, and building regulations at all times.
Educational & Professional Requirements:

Trade Test Certificate (Electrical) – Mandatory

Recognized Electrical Qualification

Wireman’s License (advantageous)

Relevant additional qualifications in electrical or architectural systems (preferred)

Proficiency in reading and writing in English
