We are seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Maintenance Assistant to support the efficient functioning of our operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timeous and quality execution of planned, preventive, and emergency maintenance tasks on all designated equipment and infrastructure. This includes electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:

Execute maintenance tasks in line with job cards/work orders as per company and client specifications.

Perform inspections and minor repairs on electrical appliances and systems to ensure safety and functionality.

Support in building infrastructure maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, and painting where required.

Assist artisans and senior technicians with major repairs and services on mechanical and electrical systems.

Conduct fault investigations, root cause analysis, and restoration procedures for malfunctioning equipment.

Perform routine site inspections, logging and reporting any issues that may compromise safety or performance.

Communicate consistently with the Line Manager, Technical Team, and Customer Call Centre (CCC) to provide updates on task completion and restoration timelines.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

Grade 12 / Matric (Technical Matric is advantageous)

N4 Technical Qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Valid South African Driver’s License

Basic understanding of electrical systems, mechanical components, and building maintenance

Minimum 1 year of practical experience in a technical maintenance environment

Familiarity with OHS Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, and SOP procedures

First Aid Certificate is beneficial
