Position Overview
We are currently seeking an Artisan Assistant (Semi-Skilled Electrician) to join our Technical and Engineering team at Novus Print in Montague Gardens, Cape Town. This role will support Electrical Artisans by assisting in maintenance tasks and repairs under the guidance of the Foreman: Electrical.
Key Responsibilities for Artisan Assistant (Semi-Skilled Electrician)
Perform basic electrical repairs, including lighting and equipment maintenance.
Assist electrical artisans with various technical tasks and troubleshooting.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards to maintain safe operations of machinery and equipment.
Carry out repairs and maintenance in the electrical workshop.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the workshop environment.
Education and Experience Requirements
Grade 12 certification.
N3-N4 Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field.
At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an FMCG environment.
Strong proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.
Key Skills and Competencies
Practical engineering skills and a strong technical problem-solving ability.
Adaptability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Reliable and team-oriented with excellent time management skills.
Proficient in basic computer skills to assist with daily tasks.
