Description
Planning and organizing all electrical repairs.
Oversee the installations of manufacturing machinery
Maintain and service all the electrical equipment’s in and outside the manufacturing area
Schedule and coordinate all aspects of electrical, from start to finish.
Prepare documents for inspections of all electrical related matters
Compressors and power generators knowledge
Route repairs in the manufacturing unit
Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools both hand and power.
Responsible for connection of wires to circuit, transformers or other components
Knowledge and ability to trouble shoot PLC
Must possess and able to demonstrate the ability to safely utilize forklift and high lifts.
Self-starter and able to take orders as directed.
Must be able to physically capable of work from ladders, scaffold and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical, equipment and fixtures
Requirements
N3 electrical qualification
Knowledge of 11kv substations
CnC machinery knowledge(PLC)
Valid Driver’s License
PC Literate
Wireman s license
5 years’ experience as an electrician

This role involves comprehensive electrical maintenance, repair, and installation of machinery and equipment, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Electrical Repairs & Maintenance: Plan, organize, and execute all electrical repairs and maintenance within the manufacturing facility, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. This includes troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems for production machinery, lighting, and other facility infrastructure.
Machinery Installation: Oversee and manage the installation of new manufacturing machinery, ensuring proper electrical connections and functionality. This involves working with blueprints, schematics, and other technical documentation.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance and servicing on all electrical equipment, both inside and outside the manufacturing area, to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan. This includes regular inspections, testing, and component replacement.
Project Management: Schedule and coordinate all aspects of electrical projects, from initial planning and design to final implementation and testing. Manage timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.
Safety Compliance: Prepare and maintain documentation for all electrical inspections, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices. Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols.
Power Systems Expertise: Demonstrate knowledge of compressors, power generators, and 11kV substations, including operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Effectively troubleshoot electrical issues in the manufacturing unit, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
PLC Programming & Troubleshooting: Possess a strong understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose PLC-related problems. Experience with CNC machinery and PLC control systems is highly desirable.
Tools & Equipment: Demonstrate safe and proficient use of both hand and power tools commonly used in electrical work.
Wiring & Connections: Expertly connect wires to circuits, transformers, and other electrical components, ensuring proper and safe connections.
Material Handling: Safely utilize forklifts and high lifts to move and transport materials and equipment. Certification for forklift operation is required.
Teamwork & Initiative: Work independently and as part of a team, taking direction as needed and demonstrating initiative to identify and address potential issues.
Physical Demands: Be physically capable of working from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical equipment and fixtures.
Qualifications:
N3 Electrical Qualification
Extensive knowledge of 11kV Substations
CNC Machinery and PLC knowledge (essential)
Valid Driver’s License
PC Literate
Wireman’s License
Minimum 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing environment
