Job Description

Bosch South Africa is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Electrical Safety Officer to ensure compliance with South African electrical safety regulations, particularly SANS and OHSA standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding the workplace from electrical hazards, maintaining high safety standards, and ensuring legal and procedural compliance across all electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities 

• Ensure all electrical installations comply with SANS 10142 and OHSA regulations.

• Implement and maintain internal electrical safety protocols.

• Conduct routine electrical safety inspections of machinery, RCDs, fixed installations, and portable equipment.

• Manage electrical system documentation and update plant network schematics.

• Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of all electrical components.

• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults to minimize downtime.

• Issue Certificates of Compliance (COC) for completed work.

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.

• Monitor the calibration and performance of safety equipment and systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• N6 Certificate in Electrical Engineering

• Valid Trade Certificate

• Registered Wireman’s License (Three-phase installations)

• Registered to issue COC certification
