What is a Millwright?
Millwrights are multi-skilled artisans trained in both mechanical and electrical disciplines. They install, maintain, and repair industrial equipment—making them essential to the smooth operation of manufacturing plants, especially in fast-paced sectors like food production. As a Millwright, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring machinery operates efficiently and safely.
About the Apprenticeship Programme

Duration: 3 to 4 years (depending on performance and learning progress)

Structure: A combination of theoretical classroom training and on-the-job practical experience

Outcome: Qualify to write your Trade Test and become a certified Millwright Artisan
Minimum Requirements

Must be unemployed and available full-time

South African citizen with a valid SA ID

Completed Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science (minimum pass required)

Technical subjects in school or N2–N4 engineering qualifications will be advantageous

Strong interest in mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical systems

Willing to learn, work hard, and commit to the full duration of the programme
