Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to oversee the technical department at a CHG hospital site. The successful candidate will be responsible for facility management, equipment maintenance, and ensuring the availability and functionality of all hospital machinery and infrastructure. This role is critical in maintaining a safe and efficient healthcare environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Electrical or Mechanical Diploma
National Trade Certificate
A minimum of 5 years’ maintenance experience in a hospital or healthcare facility
Strong computer literacy skills
Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act
Experience in managing daily job cards and work schedules
Familiarity with R158 Building Regulations, specifically for hospitals, theatres, and industrial kitchens
Sound knowledge of Power Factor Correction (PFC) systems and stand-by power facilities
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
Strong planning and organizational skills
Willingness to work overtime when required
Key Responsibilities for Clinix Electrical Artisan Job Opportunity
Conduct daily inspections of all hospital machinery and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules and recommend improvements where necessary.
Perform electrical installations and upgrades on hospital equipment and infrastructure.
Execute routine preventative maintenance checks and ensure timely repairs.
Ensure compliance with maintenance protocols, hospital safety standards, and health regulations.
Identify equipment deviations and report issues to hospital and line managers for corrective action.
Conduct root cause analysis on recurring mechanical and technical failures.
Ensure all maintenance work aligns with OHS Act machinery regulations.
Draft and implement the hospital facility plan to improve infrastructure efficiency.
Oversee repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical machinery and hospital equipment.
Manage the repair and servicing of industrial appliances within the hospital.
Maintain the hospital’s electrical reticulation system, ensuring reliable power supply.
