About the Role
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is proud to offer an exciting opportunity for a qualified Process Artisan at our Pretoria production facility. This role is ideal for a skilled and technically minded professional with strong mechanical and electrical abilities, specifically within the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry. The Process Artisan will be instrumental in ensuring that all machinery and production equipment are maintained, repaired, and optimized to meet operational excellence and efficiency targets.
Key Purpose
To inspect, maintain, repair, and optimize production equipment proactively, in line with set maintenance standards and safety regulations. The goal is to ensure continuous equipment availability, improve production line efficiency, reduce operational risk, and support high-performance bottling operations.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance on plant equipment as per daily schedules.

Perform breakdown repairs and corrective maintenance efficiently.

Conduct fault-finding, repair and programming support on PLC systems, robotic units, and servo drives.

Execute project-based tasks, upgrades, and line improvements.

Participate in the start-up, calibration, and operational checks of bottling lines.

Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment in compliance with SHEQ standards.

Complete equipment requisitions and maintenance logs.

Coach, mentor and support technical learners and apprentices.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team-based projects.
Required Qualifications & Experience

Minimum qualification: N3 Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Process Instrumentation

Advantageous: N6 Certificate

Trade Test Certified (Red Seal)

Minimum 2 years’ technical experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
Technical Skills Required

Robotics: Familiarity with KUKA, Yaskawa, or FANUC robots

PLC Programming: Siemens Step7, Siemens TIA Portal, B&R Systems

Networking: Profinet, Profibus, CANbus, ASIbus

Drives: VSDs such as SEW, Danfoss, Sinamics

Servo Drives: Acopos, SEW, Simotion

Ability to read, interpret and apply technical schematics and diagrams
