Job Summary
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting In-Service Trainee opportunity in our Manufacturing Department. We are looking for agile, talented, and skilled individuals to join our team and gain valuable industry experience. The selected candidate will support the Syrup Room operations, ensuring the production of final syrup for the supply to production lines while maintaining adherence to Coca-Cola KORE principles and regulatory requirements. This role involves exposure to automation, process control, validation, and process optimization within the Syrup Room.
Key Responsibilities
Specialist Analysis
Prepare syrups for production lines and ensure quality compliance.
Utilize SAP systems for governance and process management.
Monitor and troubleshoot automation and control failures.
Conduct process validations and execute relevant projects.
Perform specialized quality analyses and record results.
Identify process improvement opportunities and communicate with relevant teams.
Calibrate specialist laboratory equipment and support shift-based teams with calibration assistance.
Quality Auditing
Perform required quality audits and complete documentation.
Review shift-based quality analysis procedures and address training needs.
Audit calibration procedures and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement
Support production teams in resolving process-related issues.
Participate in Failure & Fault Analysis (FFA) as a functional expert.
Implement lean manufacturing principles for enhanced efficiency.
Assist in evaluating and optimizing processes at regional and divisional levels.
Training & Development
Support training needs analysis for shift-based teams.
Participate in Competency Assessment Programs (CAP) for quality analysis.
Assist in the development and delivery of training materials for quality control.
Skills, Experience & Education
Minimum Qualifications
Grade 12 with Maths or Maths Literacy (minimum 40%)
Studying towards National Diploma in Chemical Engineering
Must be a South African Citizen
Must be an Employment Equity candidate
Must not have completed the same qualification or learnership at another company.
Must be unemployed at the time of appointment.
Age requirement: 18-35 years.
Two South African languages passed at 40%.
Additional Requirements
A letter from the institution confirming the need for workplace experience to complete the qualification.
Ability to control raw material stocks efficiently.
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
Understanding of planning and supply chain-related tasks.
Data archiving and documentation skills.
Excellent ability to plan and prioritize work effectively.
