Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Welder to join our production team in Wadeville. The ideal candidate will hold a Red Seal Trade Test (Welder) and bring at least 3–5 years of hands-on welding experience. You will be working on specialized KMC machinery, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring high-quality welds that meet both internal and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols with precision.

Operate gas cutting and heating torches to prep and finish jobs.

Gouge and repair faulty welds on machines as required.

Select appropriate welding methods based on material and technical requirements.

Operate grinders and other prep tools to clean and prepare weld joints.

Produce high-quality welds aligned with KMC and client specifications.

Follow instructions from Team Leaders and the Foreman regarding job execution.

Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Perform daily equipment checks, including gas line inspections for leaks.

Maintain a clean, hazard-free, and safety-compliant working environment.

Communicate any hazards or incidents to supervisors immediately.

Adhere strictly to Zero Harm safety protocols.

Complete all tasks within the time and quality standards outlined on the Production Document (PD).
Minimum Requirements

Trade Test Qualification – Red Seal Welder (Required)

3–5 years’ experience in heavy-duty welding environments

Experience working with KMC machinery is highly advantageous

Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and applying appropriate welding techniques

Qualified in or willing to certify in the 3F welding procedure

Completed Overhead Crane Operation training

Completed Introduction to Gas Safety course or equivalent safety training
