We are offering an exciting opportunity for aspiring electricians in the Central Karoo District to kickstart a hands-on career in the electrical trade through a structured Electrical Apprenticeship Program. This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to build practical skills in electrical installation, system maintenance, testing, and repair — all under the guidance of experienced professionals in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work Site Preparation
  Plan and prepare the work area, ensuring that all tools, materials, and equipment are ready for safe and efficient execution of electrical tasks.

• Installation & Wiring
  Install, wire, and connect electrical equipment, lighting systems, panels, motors, and control systems according to electrical codes and safety standards.

• Testing & Inspection
  Conduct electrical testing and inspections on equipment and installations to identify faults and ensure functionality and compliance with regulations.

• Commissioning Systems
  Commission new electrical control systems and installations for handover or operational use, ensuring all components function correctly and safely.

• Maintenance & Repairs
  Perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a range of electrical systems and control circuits.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a South African Citizen

• Resident of the Central Karoo District

• Hold an Occupational Certificate: Electrical (NQF Level 1) or a relevant TVET equivalent with a pass in Pure Mathematics and Physical Science

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in at least two official languages of the Western Cape

• A passion for electrical systems and problem-solving
