Electrical Maintenance Artisan Vacancy Post

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Maintenance Artisan to inspect, maintain, and repair plant equipment, as well as perform critical shutdown work. This role adheres to world-class manufacturing principles and practices.

Qualifications

  • Matric/Grade 12 (with Maths and Science)
  • N2 or N3 Engineering
  • Trade-Specific Artisan Certification (Red Seal) in Electrical Engineering

Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in a maintenance environment as an artisan

Key Responsibilities

  • OHS Act Compliance: Ensure statutory compliance with safety regulations
  • MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) Management:
    • Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
    • Conduct strategic maintenance inspections and fault-finding
    • Oversee spares procurement and usage
    • Report downtime and incidents for strategic equipment
  • PPM Quality Control:
    • Perform over-inspections and feedback on PPM schedules
    • Ensure PPM QC standards are met
  • 5S Principle Implementation:
    • Drive 5S principles within the maintenance team
    • Maintain a clean and organized working environment
