An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Electrical Technician to lead a team of skilled technicians in supporting critical plant operations. The role involves overseeing electrical maintenance and repair activities, driving asset reliability, and ensuring high-quality technical execution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing the electrical maintenance strategy while maintaining safety and technical excellence.
 Key Responsibilities

Lead, guide, and motivate the electrical maintenance team to deliver on targets

Oversee the procurement, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems

Ensure effective implementation of equipment upgrades and modifications

Drive asset management best practices to optimize equipment reliability and life cycle

Collaborate with production and planning teams to schedule work with minimal downtime

Supervise and inspect work quality, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards

Manage response and resolution of electrical breakdowns and failures
-
Investigate root causes of major failures and drive corrective/preventative actions

Interpret loss and waste data to identify technical focus areas
-
Keep current with emerging industry technologies and electrical safety standards

Conduct evidence-based problem solving with team using structured methodologies

Use Visual Management tools in team meetings to foster collaboration and improvement culture
 Minimum Requirements

National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering

Minimum 5 years’ experience in an electrical maintenance environment

At least 2 years’ experience in a leadership or supervisory role
-
Proven experience in a manufacturing/FMCG setting

Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, safety codes, and asset management
