About the Opportunity
As a Golf Course Maintenance Apprentice, you will be trained to support the upkeep and care of our world-class golf courses. This hands-on role will equip you with the necessary skills in golf course turf management, landscaping, and greenkeeping practices, setting the foundation for a career in sports turf or groundskeeping.
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 10 or equivalent qualification
-
General work experience in a physical or outdoor environment (advantageous)

Valid South African driver’s license (advantageous)
-
No criminal record
-
Physically fit and able to work long hours, including weekends and public holidays

Willingness to work in all weather conditions
Key Responsibilities:
-
Bunker maintenance and hand-raking
-
Operating ride-on and walk-behind mowers for grass cutting
-
Trimming verges, hedges, and maintaining course aesthetics
-
Rolling greens and hand watering turf areas
-
Using equipment such as weed eaters, blowers, flymos, and push mowers
-
Performing sod work and general landscaping

Assisting with cultural practices to maintain course standards

Carrying out any reasonable tasks as requested by supervisors
