The aim of the programme is to equip successful candidates with the necessary technical knowledge and on-the-job experience to excel in the mechanical field, specifically Fitting & Turning. This structured programme combines practical workshop training with theoretical learning provided by a designated TVET College Centre of Specialisation (COS), fully funded by the company.
Key Responsibilities For The Fitting & Turning Apprenticeship Programme 2025

Completion of an approved Fitting & Turning apprenticeship over a fixed term.

Attend both on-site training at the Sea Harvest workshop and theory classes at a COS-accredited TVET college.

Gain technical proficiency and hands-on experience with mechanical tools, lathes, milling machines, and maintenance practices.

Follow all Health & Safety protocols, ensuring safe working procedures at all times.
Minimum Requirements:

South African citizen, preferably youth (aged 18–35).

Minimum NTC3, NQF Level 4 or Matric with Maths and Science, or a Technical Matric.

Must pass a medical examination and psychometric assessment.

Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and in confined spaces or at heights above 3 meters.

A technical background or previous mechanical training will be an added advantage.

Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a passion for working with mechanical systems.
