The Gauteng Provincial Government is offering exciting Learnership and Internship opportunities for unemployed South African youth in 2025. If you’re between the ages of 18 and 35 and eager to gain valuable work experience and technical skills, this is your chance to launch your career in the public sector.


Minimum Requirements For The Gauteng Government Learnerships 2025

  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate (Compulsory)

  • An ICT Certificate or relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous

  • Must be a South African citizen

  • Ages between 18 – 35 years

  • Currently unemployed

  • Strong communication, planning, computer literacy, and data collection skills are recommended


Key Responsibilities:

Successful candidates will be placed in various libraries and public service facilities across the Gauteng Province and will be responsible for the following:

  • Assisting library users with research, job searches, Microsoft Office, CAPS content, and CISCO tools

  • Managing and operating gaming rooms and digital learning areas

  • Keeping accurate records of library users and usage of e-resources

  • Supporting the daily operations of library services and programs
