Minimum Requirements for Artisan Role at RCL FOODS
Trade Test Certificate and a minimum of N2 certificate. Proof of successful completion of a formal, institutionalized training program is required.
3 to 5 years of practical work experience as an Artisan post-trade.
At least 3 to 5 years of practical experience in Civil and Building work.
SAP experience is a bonus.
Supervisory or managerial experience is highly beneficial.
Valid Code 08 driver’s license is mandatory.
Ability to work overtime and take on standby duties as required.
South African citizenship is required to apply for this position.
Key Responsibilities of the General Artisan Role at RCL FOODS
The primary objective of the Artisan position is to provide general civil maintenance, construction of new buildings, and water reticulation services for all clients within CESD. Key responsibilities include:
Work programming and scheduling: Collaborate with the foreman to manage daily work orders.
Efficient technical and maintenance services, including basic plumbing.
Provide excellent client orientation, communication, and feedback to the foreman.
Resource management: Oversee the effective use of labor, tools, and materials.
Maintain accurate administration records and labor recovery tracking.
Participate in SHEQ activities and training, potentially serving as a safety representative.
