 Overview: Purpose of the Role
Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine is offering a structured Apprenticeship Programme aimed at developing skilled artisans through a combination of institutional learning and on-the-job training. The program is aligned with NQF Level 3–4 qualifications and is tailored to meet industry and operational standards.
The goal is to equip learners with the technical competencies required to earn a recognized Artisan Trade Qualificationand contribute effectively to mining and engineering operations.
 Core Responsibilities For The 2025 Electrician Learnership Programme
As an apprentice, your responsibilities will include:

Complying with all learning agreement obligations

Gaining hands-on experience in your designated trade occupation

Applying trade-specific knowledge to meet productivity standards

Actively participating in classroom training and on-site learning

Asking questions, engaging with mentors, and taking responsibility for your learning journey

Demonstrating consistent progress to meet the required competency outcomes within the 3-year timeframe
This apprenticeship program is designed to develop qualified tradespeople who meet both the company’s and South African mining sector’s skills development needs.
 Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
 Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Natural Sciences
OR
N2 Certificate with 4 trade-relevant subjects (e.g., Engineering Drawing, Trade Theory, Mathematics, Engineering Science)
 Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

Proficient verbal and written communication in English

Willingness to learn and grow within the mining and engineering trade
