The eThekwini Municipality invites unemployed graduates and TVET students to apply for its Graduate and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Internship Programme for 2025. This initiative offers workplace exposure, practical skills, and hands-on training in engineering and built environment disciplines.

18 months for TVET N6 students completing WIL for diploma recognition

24 months for university graduates with diplomas or degrees

Minimum Eligibility Requirements For The 2026 Engineering Work Experience Program
Applicants must:

Be South African citizens
-
Have completed a relevant qualification (degree, diploma, or N6 for WIL)
-
Have no previous work experience in an internship, in-service training, or WIL programme exceeding 12 months
-
Ensure their qualification is not older than 5 years
-
Be unemployed and available for the full duration of the internship
