About the Role

We’re looking for Auto Electricians (x7) to join our Underground Mining Technical Team. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Foreman, you will support the maintenance and repair of underground Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM), ensuring high safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities For The 7 Artisan Electricians Positions

• Plan and execute maintenance schedules aligned with production needs.

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on TMM auto-electrical systems.

• Ensure equipment and installations comply with safety, health, and technical standards.

• Conduct hazard assessments and implement controls.

• Certify and verify TMM auto electrical equipment before underground use.

• Maintain accurate records for all equipment repairs and inspections.

• Communicate proactively with stakeholders to minimize downtime.

• Champion the Zero Harm safety culture.

• Mentor and develop apprentices and junior team members.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Grade 12 / N3 with Pure Mathematics & Physical Science (or equivalent NQF Level 4)

• Trade Certificate: Auto Electrician (or Electrician)

• Valid Code 8 / EB Driver’s License

• Active Proto Team membership – (advantageous)

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years working as an Auto Electrician, or

• 5 years combined experience as an Auto Electrician and Electrician in an Underground Mining environment

• Proven experience with TMM mining equipment (essential)
