Engineering Learnership Opportunity

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Training:

• Attend classroom sessions on engineering theory and safety

• Learn to operate hand tools, power tools, and instruments

• Understand mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles

Practical Work Experience:

• Assist with equipment maintenance, installation, and repairs

• Conduct machine inspections and troubleshoot under supervision

• Shadow experienced technicians or engineers

Workshop & Site Activities:

• Follow standard operating procedures in workshop and production environments

• Keep workstations clean and safe

• Support in assembling, fabricating, or testing mechanical parts

Safety & Compliance:

• Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations

• Use PPE and report hazards or incidents

• Practice workplace safety procedures

Learning & Development:

• Complete assignments, assessments, and daily logbook entries

• Participate in training reviews and performance evaluations

Trade-Specific Requirements:

Boilermaker Apprentice

• Boiler Making & Engineering N2

Millwright Apprentice

• Millwright & Engineering N2

Electrician Apprentice

• Industrial Electronics N2 & Electrical Trade Theory N2

Fitter Apprentice

• Fitting including Machining N2 & Engineering Drawing N2

Minimum Requirements For The Abasegudu Engineering Learnership Opportunities

• South African citizen or valid work permit

• Age: 18–35 years

• Strong interest in engineering

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Physically fit and safety-conscious
