This is an excellent opportunity for ambitious and motivated individuals to gain hands-on experience, develop valuable trade skills, and grow within a highly respected company in South Africa’s mining and heavy industrial sector.

Afrimat is currently recruiting for 4 learnership positions in the following trades:

Auto Electrician Learnership – 2 positions
-
Boilermaker Learnership – 1 position
-
Fitter & Turner Learnership – 1 position
These 12-month structured training programs combine both theoretical learning and practical, on-site work experience to help learners meet trade-specific standards and requirements.

 Minimum Requirements for Afrimat 2026 Engineering Learnerships
Applicants must meet the following basic eligibility criteria:

N2 Certificate in Auto Electrical, Boilermaking, or Fitting & Turning (as applicable)

Valid South African ID document
-
Proof of residence in the Northern Cape
-
Valid Learner’s or Driver’s License
-
Must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act
-
Unemployed youth seeking a career in the mining and industrial trades
 Preferred Skills and Attributes

Good written and verbal communication skills in English
