Apprenticeship – Mechanical Fitter
We are looking for vibrant, dynamic, and talented individuals to join our Mechanical Fitter Apprenticeship Program at our Kempton Park facility. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals who are passionate about the engineering industry and eager to develop their skills in a hands-on learning environment.
Overview & Responsibilities
This apprenticeship program is designed to equip candidates with practical mechanical fitting experience and a strong technical foundation in the engineering sector.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Actively participate in structured training sessions, workshops, and hands-on practical work.

Assist senior mechanical fitters and engineering staff with daily tasks, repairs, installations, and maintenance projects.

Learn and apply mechanical fitting techniques, including assembling, dismantling, and repairing machinery and equipment.

Follow safety protocols and workplace standards in line with company and industry requirements.

Collaborate effectively with team members to meet departmental and project goals.

Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used during training and practical assignments.
Essential Requirements For The Air Products Mechanical Fitter Apprenticeship

Grade 12 / Matric qualification.

N5 or N6 Mechanical Engineering-related qualification (required).

Must be a South African Citizen.

A genuine interest in the gas and/or manufacturing industry.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

Must be a team player who values collaboration and continuous learning.

Not currently enrolled in any other learnership or apprenticeship programme (full dedication required).

Must reside within a 40km radius of Kempton Park (including areas such as Tembisa, Kempton Park, Germiston, etc.).
