This programme provides a unique chance to gain technical skills, practical training, and trade qualifications in one of South Africa’s leading mining operations.
Available Learnership Trades
Successful applicants will be trained in one of the following Engineering Learnership trades:

Diesel Mechanic
-
Instrumentation
-
Fitter
-
Boilermaker
-
Auto Electrician
-
Electrician
-
Rigger
-
Millwright
Programme Structure & Benefits
-
Monthly Stipend/Allowance throughout the learnership

1st Year: Institutional training at Sivos Technical Training Centre

2nd Year: On-the-job/core training at Kolomela Mine

3rd Year: Completion of trade test and qualification
Minimum Requirements For The Anglo American Engineering Learnerships
To apply for the Kolomela Mine Engineering Learnership 2025, applicants must meet the following:

Grade 12 (Matric)

N2 Certificate with 4 relevant subjects (Millwright trade requires 5 relevant subjects)

Successfully pass the medical job-fit assessment (RFA)

Must be a resident of Tsantsabane Municipality, Northern Cape
