Job Purpose
The primary objective of the Artisan Assistant role is to support operational teams in executing essential tasks related to the non-energised electrical distribution network in the City of Tshwane. The successful candidate will perform duties under direct supervision to help maintain safe, efficient, and uninterrupted service delivery. This role plays a vital part in infrastructure development and public service by assisting with maintenance and repairs on electrical systems in non-energised conditions.
Minimum Application Requirements

Basic literacy: must be able to read, write, and follow detailed instructions

Prior experience in a municipal electrical distribution network is an added advantage

Must be physically fit, in good health, and able to perform heavy manual labour

Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods

Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required

Must agree to a criminal background check and fingerprinting by the Tshwane Metro Police Department (at applicant’s own cost)
