Job Purpose

The primary objective of the Artisan Assistant role is to support operational teams in executing essential tasks related to the non-energised electrical distribution network in the City of Tshwane. The successful candidate will perform duties under direct supervision to help maintain safe, efficient, and uninterrupted service delivery. This role plays a vital part in infrastructure development and public service by assisting with maintenance and repairs on electrical systems in non-energised conditions.

Minimum Application Requirements

• Basic literacy: must be able to read, write, and follow detailed instructions

• Prior experience in a municipal electrical distribution network is an added advantage

• Must be physically fit, in good health, and able to perform heavy manual labour

• Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required

• Must agree to a criminal background check and fingerprinting by the Tshwane Metro Police Department (at applicant’s own cost)
