We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fitter to join our engineering and fabrication team. The successful candidate will assist in the fabrication and welding of various components including dummy jigs, locker boxes, battery boxes, and mounting brackets. Key Responsibilities For The Artisan Welder at MAN Automotive 

• Review actual technical specifications and drawings before welding or fitting tasks begin.

• Assist in the fabrication of dummy jigs, locker boxes, battery boxes, and mounting brackets.

• Fit, weld, and align all required parts using appropriate tools and techniques.

• Plan component layouts and welding sequences prior to starting the welding process.

• Assemble and weld under-frame fronts and other structural components.

• Perform quality checks and tests on all welded surfaces to ensure compliance with standards.

• Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and functional condition.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.

• N1 or higher in technical subjects (Mathematics, Engineering Science, Diesel Trade Theory).

• Certificate in Welding or a relevant qualification.

Skills:

• Strong welding and fitting skills.

• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to work independently and solve problems quickly.

• Professional and flexible in working environment.

• Physically fit and able to handle technical tools and equipment.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar welding/fitting role in a technical or engineering setting.
