Key Outputs

As a Learnership/Training Programme participant, your responsibilities will include:

• Successfully completing all theoretical learning, practical training, and skills assessments.

• Maintaining accurate records of experience, including logbooks, skills assessments, and training documentation.

• Ensuring a safe working environment by following safety policies and procedures.

• Demonstrating effective communication, good behaviour, and teamwork at all times.

• Achieving set KPI’s and balanced scorecard targets.

• Taking responsibility for self-management and performance ownership, including accurate reporting on completed tasks.

• Operating and qualifying on specific component repair processes.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements For Barloworld Equipment 2025 Apprentice 

• Grade 12 / N3 with Pure Mathematics.

• Grade 12 / N3 with English (minimum 50% pass).

• N3 / N4 with relevant theory in Motor, Diesel, or Electrical fields (advantageous).

• Technician for the World Certificate (T4W) – advantageous.

• Computer literacy – advantageous.

• Familiarity with basic hand tools and their applications.

• Previous experience working in a workshop or laboratory environment with hand tools will be an added advantage.

• Basic knowledge and understanding of vehicle components and parts.

• Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and overtime when required.

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s licence (Code 10 licence will be a strong advantage).
