Key Performance Areas

Carry out high-quality repairs and preventative maintenance on a diverse range of company assets, including but not limited to buildings, plant, machinery, furniture, equipment, and facilities. Ensure all work meets the company’s standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.

Execute refurbishment and renovation projects as required, including minor construction work, fixture replacements, and upgrades to enhance the resort’s appearance, functionality, and guest satisfaction.

Support the Handymen team with technical and mechanical expertise, ensuring all resort facilities remain in optimal condition to deliver a premium guest experience.

Identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly, minimizing downtime and operational disruptions.

Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and materials used, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.

Work flexible and irregular hours, including shifts, weekends, public holidays, overtime, and stand-by duties, to support the resort’s 24/7 operational needs.
Position Requirements For The Beekman Group GSE Maintenance Assistant

Proven track record in a similar maintenance position, ideally within the hospitality or resort industry, where guest experience and operational uptime are critical.

In-depth practical knowledge of general maintenance principles, repair techniques, and equipment operation.

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify problems and implement effective solutions.

Specialist maintenance skills such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, or HVAC servicing will be a distinct advantage.

Valid Code B driver’s licence will be considered an added advantage, enabling the transport of tools and materials when required.
