CHG Hospital is seeking an experienced and qualified Hospital Technical Maintenance Manager to oversee and maintain all hospital equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with healthcare maintenance standards, improving operational efficiency, and guaranteeing the availability of all critical hospital machinery.
 Job Summary
The Technical Maintenance Manager will:

Monitor, manage, and maintain the hospital’s technical department.

Ensure optimal performance and availability of medical and non-medical equipment.
-
Oversee facilities management, preventative maintenance, and safety compliance.
-
Provide technical support to ensure uninterrupted hospital operations.
 Minimum Qualifications & Experience
To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:
-
Electrical or Mechanical Diploma (Essential).
-
National Trade Certificate.
-
At least 5 years’ maintenance experience in a hospital or healthcare environment.
-
Computer literacy (MS Office).
-
Strong knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act).
-
Experience managing daily job cards.
-
Knowledge of R158 Building Regulations (specific to hospitals, theatres, and industrial kitchens).
-
Familiarity with PFC and stand-by power facilities.
-
Strong planning and organizational skills.
-
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
-
Willingness to work overtime when required.
 Key Responsibilities For The Clinix Health Group Electrical Artisan
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Conducting daily checks on all hospital machinery, equipment, and facilities.

Following and updating preventative maintenance schedules.
-
Performing new electrical installations and upgrades to existing hospital equipment.

Managing routine preventative maintenance and job card execution.
-
Ensuring all work complies with health and safety standards.
-
Identifying and reporting equipment deviations to hospital management.
-
Conducting root cause analysis for recurring mechanical or technical failures.
-
Drafting and maintaining the hospital’s Facility Plan.
-
Overseeing repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical machinery and systems.
-
Repairing and maintaining basic and industrial appliances.
-
Managing the overall reticulation of the facility (electrical distribution).
